MOMS
Club Proceeds Benefit LTEF
The Lawrenceville MOMS Club
recently contributed the proceeds of its annual Preschool Options Fair to the
Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF). The MOMS are Moms Offering
Support to Moms and the November event raised $525, which the group decided to
donate the LTEF in an effort to support public education in Lawrence. Event
chairperson Deborah Dauer noted that the moms view the donation as another way
to "support our teachers, our schools, our children."
The Preschool Options Fair offers parents of young children an
opportunity to investigate their choices for preschools in the area. Over
twenty preschool programs were on hand to provide information and register new
students. In spite of bad weather, the event was quite successful and raised
$525. The board of the MOMS Club, for the second year in a row, pledged the
proceeds to another community group that is interested in quality educational
choices, the Lawrence Township Education Foundation. Diane Senerth, Executive
Director of the LTEF says, "We are very grateful for the support of the MOMS
Club. Their donation will help us to enhance programming in public school
classrooms. We are also impressed that a group of parents whose children are
not yet in our schools recognize the importance of parental involvement in our
mission."
The Lawrence Township Education Foundation is a not-for-profit
volunteer organization that fosters educational excellence, creativity and
achievement in the Lawrence Township Public Schools. For more information or to
contribute, visit the LTEF web site at www.LTEFNJ.ORG or email
