Howard Azer is president of his own accounting firm, Howard Azer & Associates. He and his wife, Laurie, have two children in the Lawrence Township school system. Howard is impressed with LTEF's 85 percent return -- directly to the schools -- of all funds raised, an unusually high percentage for a nonprofit. As a trustee, he will focus on fundraising, financial management and public relations. <BACK>
Terry has been a Lawrence resident since 2000 and an LTEF Board Member since 2009. He has 20 years of professional sales, marketing and management experience. He is very excited to be part of an organization that has a positive effect on public education for our children. He has two daughters, one who attended Lawrence Township schools and one who is currently attending. He is very involved in the community and has coached recreation basketball and softball for the past 8 years. Terry is very proud of his work for the Alvin McNair Memorial fundraiser in 2009.<BACK>
Mary W. Barrett joined LTEF in 2007 to contribute to and support great public education in the Lawrence Township schools. Ms. Barrett previously served on the Board of Lawrenceville Main Street as head of its Business Development Committee. She has coached recreation soccer in the Township and is involved in various community activities. Since 1998, she has been employed by Stark & Stark as an attorney in its Community Associations practice group representing a specific type of non-profit corporation. She and her husband, Robert Andreas, live in Lawrenceville and have one daughter who attends school in the Township.<BACK>
Kelly Bidle is a research scientist and educator who is a strong advocate of promoting scientific literacy among the general public. Her interest in LTEF stems from her appreciation of its mission of providing grants to faculty and staff in township public schools to enhance the educational experiences of its students. Kelly has a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Rider University. She has extensive grant-writing experience and has served as a grant reviewer for the National Science Foundation and American Society for Microbiology since 2001. Kelly and her husband, Kay, live in Lawrenceville and have three sons who attend Lawrence Township public schools. She joined LTEF in 2010.<BACK>
Ivy Cohen (Executive Director/Ex Officio)
Ivy Cohen joined the foundation as Executive Director in May of 2010. She has worked for various non-profit organizations for the past ten years where she organized and coordinated various special events, fundraisers, community outreach and more. Ivy received her bachelors degree from the University of Delaware and her masters in business administration from Philadelphia University. Ivy and her husband have lived in Lawrenceville since 2004; their two children attend Lawrence Township Public Schools. <BACK>
Tim Corcoran relocated to Lawrence in 1995 from his hometown of Rochester, New York, with his wife, Carmen, and two daughters, BrieAnna and Isabella, each of whom has attended Lawrence schools and is active in Lawrence sports. Tim is a management consultant to global law firms, and previously held executive roles in the field of law firm marketing and technology. He has an undergraduate degree in foreign languages from St. Bonaventure University and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University. Tim also volunteers as a recreational basketball coach in the Lawrence community. <BACK>
Elizabeth Duffy has been headmaster of The Lawrenceville School since 2003. She has an A.B. from Princeton University, and M.B.A. & A.M. from Stanford University. She serves as the chief executive officer of the School reporting to the Board of Trustees and is responsible for the overall management of the School. She has two children attending Lawrence Township public schools. <BACK>
Debbie Endo has lived in Lawrence since 1975. She and her husband have 3 grown children who all went through the Lawrence Township Public Schools. Debbie has an MSW from Rutgers and for 23 years served as a social worker in our schools. After retiring, she ran for the Board of Education and has been a member since 2005. She became the board liaison to LTEF in the spring of 2007. <BACK>
Patricia "Pepper" Evans is proud to add her name and her energies to the Board of Trustees of the LTEF. A Mercer County resident for 40+ years, half of them in Lawrence, she is a passionate volunteer supporting many local causes. Pepper has two daughters flourishing in Lawrence Township public schools. She joined the board in 2005 and currently serves as LTEF's Vice President.<BACK>
Jane Fetter joined the LTEF Board in 2009, right after she retired from the Lawrence Township Public School system. She and her husband, Ted, moved to Lawrence in 1982 after living across the country in six states over twelve years. Their three adult sons all graduated from LHS. Jane taught fifth grade PAACE at LIS from 1989 - 2009, and was the recipient of several LTEF grants. She is an active member of the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Princeton, currently serving on its Board of Trustees. Jane is delighted to be working with LTEF on "the other side," and she has experienced first hand the excitement and energy that the grants can generate for both students and teachers. .<BACK>
A strong supporter and advocate of the great public schools in Lawrence Township, Jen joined the Board of LTEF in the Spring of 2004 and currently serves as the Board President. Jen has worked in the field of Development at Fordham University, Monmouth University and served as the Associate Director of Annual Giving for the Rutgers University Foundation. Jen is currently pursuing a PhD is Educational Statistics, Measurement and Evaluation at Rutgers Univeristy, is a professor at Rider and Rutgers, and loves the flexibility of still being able to be home with her three daughters. Jen holds a degree in Economics from Fordham University and a Masters in Educational Statistics and Measurement from Rutgers University. She has lived in Lawrenceville since 2000.<BACK>
Fiona Herr-Humphreys is a product of, and strong believer in, a well-rounded public school education. Her early interest in the sciences eventually led to a PhD degree in biochemistry from Vanderbilt University. She has worked at Rutgers University and ETS and is currently engaged in freelance medical writing. She has been an active volunteer in the schools for several years. She and her husband have lived in Lawrence for 12 years and their four children are currently enrolled and thriving in the Lawrence school system. <BACK>
The Township Manager is the chief executive and chief administrative officer of the Lawrence Township government. Responsibilities of the Manager include the appointment and removal of Township personnel (except appointments made by Township Council pursuant to State law), the supervision of all departments of the Township government, the negotiation of contracts, the preparation of the budget, the management of municipal property and the coordination of departmental activities. <BACK>
Lisa McCormick Lavery is a public relations and communications consultant with her own firm, LML Consulting LLC. Lisa brings a diverse professional career to LTEF having worked in finance, international humanitarian assistance, non-profit and corporate organizations. Lisa and her husband Dan have lived in Lawrence since 2002 and have two children in the Lawrence Township public schools. She has been an active volunteer in the school for many years and joined LTEF in 2010. <BACK>
Dr. Crystal M. Lovell is the Assistant Superintendent for Lawrence Township Public Schools. She earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University; a masters degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University; and a bachelors degree in Secondary Education from Penn State University. Dr. Lovell is very involved in enhancing and improving curriculum and instruction, providing quality professional development and training for teachers and striving to put Lawrence Township Public Schools on the map as the number one public school in the nation. She is married and has three daughters. <BACK>
Bruce R. McGraw moved to Lawrence Township in 1979 after serving as a high school principal in North Carolina. He began his teaching career in a segregated, Black junior high school in Charlotte, NC. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Educational Administration and History) and Bucknell University (Philosophy), and retired Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Lawrence Township. As Assistant Superintendent, Dr. McGraw oversaw curriculum, instruction, and special services. His wife, Jean, teaches history at Notre Dame HS. His two sons graduated from Lawrence High School. Dr. McGraw serves on the Board of the Children's Home Society of New Jersey and is an elder of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, serving as chair of the Haitian Task Force leading medical teams to Haiti. He is a member of the Board of Lawrence Non-Profit Housing. He is a member of the National Response Team for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, responding to national emergencies. He also serves as a member of the Community Emergency Response Team for Lawrence Township. <BACK>
Mr. Philip Meara has been the Superintendent of Lawrence Township Schools since March 20, 2006. <BACK>
Mr. Rossi was born in Princeton but grew up in Lawrence, attending Lawrence Township Public Schools before heading off to Seton Hall University for college. Although he now lives in Pennington, Gary is the branch manager of First Choice Bank on Whitehead Road. He is a member of the Mercer Chamber of Commerce, St. Ann's Church in Lawrenceville, and an active volunteer for Lawrenceville Main Street. His wife is Associate Dean of Students at the Pennington School. They have 3 children nearing the end of their high school and college years. <BACK>
Paul Schindel regularly attended Board of Education meetings as a child in Maplewood, NJ, and has pursued and supported excellence in public education ever since. A resident of Lawrence since 1991, he is the father of three sons (two in Lawrence Township public schools, one in college). He serves on the Visual Arts Advisory Commission of the Mercer County Community College, and is a past co-chairman of the Jewish Community Campus Development Council. Paul is a graduate of Boston University, and President and Creative Director of Three Bears Communications in Princeton, an advertising and marketing communications firm driven by the "Goldilocks approach" to developing messages that are just right.<BACK>
Romy Toussaint has resided in Lawrenceville since 1985. She and her husband John Annand have four sons, two of whom are graduates of Lawrence Township Public Schools, and two currently enrolled. Romy is a personal trainer and yoga instructor who owns her own business “Romy Yoga.” She coaches soccer and is an active volunteer in the community. Romy worked at ETS as a Program Officer with the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Computer Based Testing Programs, and the National Teachers Exams. Romy holds a degree from the University of Rochester in French and International Relations..<BACK>
